Alexander Joseph: Waiting for You
UK based singer songwriter Alexander Joseph remains committed to channeling important & heartfelt messages through his music and his uplifting songs about overcoming obstacles have been a consistent theme throughout his previous work. BBC Introducing have picked up on this and shown great support in the past, selecting two songs as their tracks of the week. He’s also hugely passionate about sport, which was the inspiration behind his first EP ‘Anything Is Possible’ and when he’s not making music, you’ll find him coaching on the British wheelchair tennis program.
Alexander released ‘Waiting For You’ on 11th November 2022. The single includes an acoustic and a stripped back piano version of the original track, which can be found on his EP ‘Broken But Beautiful’. The song is a tribute to his Polish grandmother who endured so much, surviving the brutalities of Auschwitz during the war before making her way to London where she started a family. The lyrics tell a story of sorrow and loss, whilst also taking reassurance from the belief that one day they’ll be reunited
