Alphanaut: Forever
Electro-acoustic group Alphanaut recently released their new album On Some Planets—and it’s a diverse collection of songs worth listening to for music fans of all walks. Each track brings its own flavor, and the instrument list is lengthy and engaging. From synths to Saxophones, to layered vocals choruses, to jazzy piano, the album keeps your attention track over track. The album has multiple stand-outs, but one of their songs of focus “Forever” features a pulsing electronic, somewhat lo-fi feel. It’s reminiscent of an early 2000’s Röyksopp in all the best ways. Mark Alan, the original brain and founder behind the project, said it was the final song they recorded on the album and that it was the only song to be written 100% in the studio setting. Even more, the final recording was done all in one take.
