Chris Avetta Releases Enchanting New Single
From West Coast listening rooms to UK pubs, singer-songwriter and multi- instrumentalist Chris Avetta charms audiences with her Joni Mitchell-esque music and sense of humor. Avetta infuses her ability to empathize with others and blends the endearing hilarity of everyday life into each performance. Whether playing solo or with her full band, Avetta’s silky and sassy brand of “forest-pop indie folk with country sprinkles” includes quirky stage banter that is just as entertaining as the tunes themselves. Her latest LP Shadows (produced by Grammy-award winning Wesley Switzer at L.A.’s Milestone Studios) is a beautiful and multifaceted exploration on matters of the heart. San Diego Troubadour described Avetta’s vocals as “the star of the show,” and entertainment blog We Love That said her music is “perfect for a stroll through the woods.”
Avetta promoted her latest release “Forest for the trees” earlier this summer with positive response. The single infuses folk elements with layered harmony and warm telecaster tones that bring an orchestral feel to simple style. While the original piece draws from elements of personal experience, strong yet gentle vocals embody relatable lyrics. Avetta played Forest for the Trees Live on KUSI, San Diego and continues to showcase the new tune at all subsequent performances.
