Death Rider Demons: "Citizen Soldier"
Seattle-based Death Rider Demons has released the new single “Citizen Soldier”. This is a cover of the 3 Doors Down song about the National Guard. For this song the group has gone back to more of their synthpop influences. Moody synths are blended with chorus vibro guitar tracks. More traditional rock guitar is used as hooks throughout the song.
The original song by 3 Doors Down was influential on encouraging Cliff from Death Rider Demons to volunteer to serve in the State Guard for five years. Work on the cover began in 2019 and originally was going to be dedicated to members of the Washington National Guard and Washington State Guard. However, with the current pandemic crisis happening, the song seemed even more relevant to the times. Not only do the lyrics apply to the National Guard, but to all first responders, essential workers, and all those out there working on the front lines! Dedicated to everyone stepping up to become a citizen soldier during this pandemic!
