We had the pleasure of checking in with Kim and she was kind enough to respond to a few interview questions.

Your new song "Show Me You Feel" is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing it with the world! How does the song release feel now that it's here?! Were there any challenges behind the scenes?

You know, during these Covid times, I am always searching for ways to feel ‘normal.’ I just am not ready to accept the ‘new normal’ lifestyle.  Part of feeling normal is actually songwriting.  And, when I was thinking about how much our electronic devices have ruled us, it felt right to tell a story.  So, this song is a tale about two people who have lost their way because they allowed technology to dictate who they are. I think, with Covid, our electronic leashes have gotten even worse. I long for the days when we just turned everything off, almost like an Alice in Wonderland feel, which is why the song speaks of ‘fairy lands.’ I hope we all get back to fairy lands soon.  We all need it.

Who makes you feel the most empowered about your artistry?

My local musicians these days. We have grown to really appreciate each other and our creations.  One of my Producers in New York City has also been such a supporter with all these crazy song ideas I have, so I guess I really have to give him credit as well.  But, being empowered is a hard word, especially now when you feel like the world won't let you perform music the way it was meant to be performed.

What in your music catalogue gives you nostalgia?

It’s funny you should ask, I was just listening to songs I wrote several years ago.  When I hear music, I see history and tours, and band stories. I see performances and recording studios, and audiences. I hear laughter and see a few tears. Music, for me, touches my soul so deeply, that I find myself almost lost, or caught up in that moment, until the sound ends.

How would you describe your career trajectory in one word? Why?

Hard. Because music is hard, but if it were easy, I am not sure I would be interested.

Please tell us where we can go and support "Show Me You Feel" because everyone needs to have it on repeat! And support all your upcoming projects?!
