Leo Meconi: "I'll Fly Away"
Leo Meconi is a 15 years old singer-songwriter. He sings and plays guitar since age of seven.
His talent has been noticed by Bruce Springsteen who in 2016 invited the teen to play guitar with him on stage at the Milan (Italy) stadium in front of 70,000 people. His first music production is a series of songs that have been recorded in 2019 at San Luca Sound Studio under the supervision of one of world’s best guitarists, Dodi Battaglia.
These songs have been released during the 2019 summer and are entitled “It’s just me and my
guitar” to give the idea of the content. Leo selected the songs amongst his preferred music
styles: some covers from Dylan to Springsteen, from Stevie Wonder to Ed Sheeran and
some original songs. It is significant that the most successful song on Spotify is a song of
his own composition: “I’LL FLY AWAY” a romantic ballad that very well expresses the artists’
style, that one could call “acoustic folk/country-pop”.
At the end of November 2019 Leo Meconi and his record company Azzurra Music released
his first “physical” CD: an album of 10 original compositions (“I’ll fly away” amongst them)
plus a beautiful version of Dylan’s “Mr.Tambourine Man”, a song that is supported by a
videoclip shot at beautiful Lake Tovel in Italy.
