MUSZETTE (meaning muse, female) is the recent alter ego of pop/rock/soul artist Melanie Taylor, and her premiere EP "Big Mood" is just that. The femme fatale persona delivers highly energetic and empowering anthems in every track, perfect for the comeback year ahead of us.
The EP contains six extremely upbeat, energetic, and powerful tracks. The first track has such a unique musical tracking that backs up the vocals. The beat is rhythmic and keeps your body moving. Muszette’s singing is great and energizing. The lyrics are catchy, the whole song just gives you good vibes. I can see this playing in a bar or club that will make people want to dance. “Gonna Rise Up” is my personal favorite track from this EP. It is inspiring, empowering, and rockin’. As soon as the first note starts I want to turn up the volume and let the music take me. Listening to this song makes you want to go out into the world and kick some ass! It’s such a great anthem and motivates me. “Power” and “Boom” follow up with the energetic, uplifting, empowering theme and they just turn up the heat. Muszette has such an amazing and powerful voice that fits these themes beautifully. You can feel the passion in her music which makes you relate to the music more and it makes you want to give in to the music even more. This whole EP has so much energy and power to it, it is a great work of music from Muszette with a mixture of motivational empowering anthems to party rock songs that you’ll want to blast through your speakers with your friends.
The MUSZETTE brand may have just launched on the scene, but Melanie is a seasoned performer, songwriter, and vocalist. She has released two full length albums and an array of powerhouse singles that have graced both US and Intl radio, garnered hundreds of thousands of online streams/views, and have been played in numerous TV and film placements. The singer notably won the 2017 CES Songwriter Theme Song Competition.
Behind the scenes, Melanie operates in true hustler spirit as both the artist and entrepreneur. With just a van, a band, and many helpful friends, she independently organized three different US tours, as well as her first international string of performances in Australia the summer of 2018.
