Schade: "Août à août"
Schade comes back from the Calanques,
Without warning...
After having titillated Le Soleil on their previous album, they are back ready to renew with the pitfalls, the fear and the love. With residences in the backyards and live in the bunkers, Dany and Brynjar have concocted Août à Août and evoke the daily drama of urban corpses from birth to apotheosis.
If they still speak French and now that the sun has gone down, Dany and Brynjar also summon occult forces in their blood language - Dutch and Icelandic respectively - and examine the meanderings of their giant souls.
Embodying the city of Biel as few have done, they pose in miniature in front of La Coupole, the tutelary place of this city, as a recognition. This new album is hard and dangerous, shaped with a trowel like the cracked skin of our two heroes, skin cracked by years of abuse and freedom.
