Ted: Revolution Then

Ted sang an insurgent indie-psych-folk lullaby in his latest single, Revolution Then

Australian Indie-folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ted held a mirror to the sad state of modern democracy in his latest psych-folk-meets dream-pop single, Revolution Then, which officially launched on October 21st. The self-produced single, recorded in the up-and-coming artist’s home studio, is a chorally ambient, lyrically reflective release which permits you to slip back to 1789 to gain perspective as history unfolds to the evocative melodies. The catharsis of the colourfully mellifluous instrumental framework consisting of guitars, bass, drums, sax and keys gently cradles you as you're soothed by the rich baroque imagery

Ted said: “The song is loosely based on the French Revolution. I was inspired by some more recent political events which occurred in the US. I wanted to convey this in a way that was like telling an old story to a child, like in a nursery rhyme.”
