Tripping on Bricks: "Tenants"
Originating in Columbia at the University of South Carolina, Tripping on Bricks unifies a variety of audiences with their fresh alt-rock sound. Rooted in meaningful songwriting and catchy guitar hooks, Tripping on Bricks is representative of a new brand of music coming out of Columbia. Their new single “Tenants” is a radio-ready pop rock banger and fans can expect more from them during one of their energetic live shows. Incorporating elements of rock, pop, indie, and alternative, the band has a unique sound that is still evolving.
Tenants was written during the first Covid-19 lockdown in the US, and explores the emotions of uncertainty and fear in a world where each day is "overwhelming and aloof." This single exhibits the band's [Tripping on Bricks] alternative/pop side musically, with an upbeat and catchy chorus to drive home the lyrical message of clinging on to the things that are most important to us in times of unrest, and cherishing the time we do have here with each other.
