Wiese: "Somebody Else"
Fast-rising Norwegian EDM producer Wiese (Trygve Wiese-Haugland) just released his new single “Somebody Else” and what a banger it is. The song is a super-catchy, well-produced electro-pop song and the theme is as original as it is well written. The theme of the song is the epic 90's music we all hate to love, and how we all ask for those songs once time passes midnight. The song is filled with cool and original lyrics lines such as:
“Whatever happened to doin’ all the small things, Blink 182?”
“So where are they, that rock like Mötley, smooth like Sade?”
“It’s either up or we ain’t goin’ anywhere, and if they don’t feel like the 90’s I don’t care”
Wiese, who writes, produces and releases his songs on his own label, released his first single only a year ago, and has since released another four singles.
With more than 10 million Spotify-plays in just a few months, he’s about to establish himself as one of the fastest rising EDM producers and DJ’s in the world. His previous single "Never Let Me Go" was released this summer, and went straight into 10th place on Spotify's "Hits Don't Lie" list, as well as top spots on "Summer Hits 2020", "Norwegian Music", "Made in Norway” and “New Music Friday”.
Wiese has also managed to gain international attention. His songs are played all over the world, which has given him publicity and interviews with international media. Wiese started his career as a songwriter and artist under the artist name Trygve Wiese, and is previously known for releasing the football songs "Me e Viking" in 2004 and "VIKING" in 2019 - the latter the most played football song in Norway ever with two million plays on Spotify .
