Alaina Ray: "Feel it All"
Alaina Ray, Boston-based singer songwriter and dream pop artist, packs in deeply personal lyrics with dreamy, intimate vocals in her songwriting. She grew up idolizing strong women performers like Gwen Stefani, Stevie Nicks, and Pat Benatar. It took her a long time to figure out who she was as an artist, and after starting out in classic rock and pop punk bands, she figured out her voice aligned perfectly in the indie dream pop genre.
“Feel It All" is the happiest song she's written. The majority of her songs are sadder songs, but with this song the lyrics are happier and came together in just 20 minutes..."I always struggle with how much I want everyone to know about me in my writing and going a little too far letting people into my personal life. As with any song I listen to, I always take in the lyrics first, so I strive to make my songwriting as honest and realistic as possible.”
Alaina has steered her own direction, captures the audience with her smokey breathy tone, and makes you feel the emotion from the song's first words. Her original music expands deeply on life's emotions and relationships, and she can easily transfer that energy to the audience as if they are living it with her.
"Feel It All" was added to 19 playlists in its first release week.
