Bandit Voyage: "Amour sur le beat" ft. Lee "Scratch" Perry
"When I walk in the street, I put my shoes on"
After the minimal and introductory single “Attendons demain”, the Swiss duo are back to business and put both feet in the dish with a new single and video “Amour sur le beat” . Rhythmic house, funk bass, eloquent singing and speaking and saxophone solo, Bandit Voyage will stop at nothing and go all out, multiplying playful winks.
The video clip is a hallucinating and mind-blowing road-trip featuring the indestructible king of dub Lee "Scratch" Perry, launching bridges between Lake Geneva (Léman) and the Jamaican coast with communicative pleasure. Carrying around the secret son of her illegitimate love, Anissa sets off in search of the fictitious father with a rapping and watered-down voice, on the snow-covered roads.
"Life is simple, life is clear"
"Amour sur le beat” is the epic tale of a life well-lived," the group said. We mix no wave groove and acid saxophone, scathing jumpsuit and fitted jeans, hooked melody, and intergenerational crash, vision of the Lake Geneva canopy from the back seat of a VW Golf from the eighties "
Between existential haiku and “Roller Disco”, Bandit Voyage chooses not to choose. Their crazy, modern pop clashes nicely into the somewhat wise landscape of French-speaking song and reminds us that in these troubled times, life can be as simple and clear as a song. Voilà!
