Chintzy Stetson: "Red Ferrari"
Following on from the releases of ‘Falling In’ and ‘Fair Share’, Newcastle-via-London indie singer-songwriter CHINTZY STETSON announces third single ‘Red Ferrari’ off his debut EP ‘Songs from the Top Shelf of my Heart’.
“I spent a lot of time in Berlin over the last two years working hard and failing hard to keep a relationship alive. Red Ferrari is a reminder that sometimes you need to make a decision to move fast or lose faster.
I watch the birds in my garden most days, they never know when a branch won’t hold their weight and so they fly. They come back, mostly.
Hesitate and die. Levitate and fly.”
With Chintzy Stetson’s curious songwriting style melding together a thick bassline and dreamy saxophone, Red Ferrari is the alt-indie release that sees Chintzy Stetson put on the rose-tinted glasses and bask in the glory of what lies before him.
Chintzy Stetson is the creation of London-based, Newcastle-raised artist Louis Adams, who started making tracks under the moniker several years back. Though he has been creating music for many years (fans might also recognise him as a founding member of North East band, Them Things).
“Chintzy Stetson sees passing faces in collaborators. They do a take and leave. It’s a dirty motel. The ashtray should have been emptied weeks ago. But the music won’t stop playing. Even if you beg it too.
There was a woman who wore a juicy couture tracksuit, with the rhinestones on the back. She paid for the suite every Friday night. She sold drugs in bin liners and sat on the floor by the bar. She disappeared 2 years ago. I call the hotel every now and then but they say they’ve never seen her before.
I called her Chintzy. She called me Stetson”
Red Ferrari is Chintzy Stetson’s third release off his debut EP ‘Songs from the Top Shelf of my Heart’ due for release 15th September 2021.
