Dan Searl: "Ellsworth"
Singer songwriter and producer, Dan Searl often goes on artistic sabbaticals to Maine to connect with his sound in nature. The setting for his latest single is a small town in Maine called Ellsworth. This is one of the main towns around the Acadia National Park region of Maine. In the song, Searl sings from a spiritual perspective speaking in metaphors in a parable like style. Drawing references to the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing need for connection to nature during these times of quarantine isolation, Searl’s indie-electronic piece is a fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds.
“Ellsworth is about going to a place when you're hoping to have an laid-back easy time, yet it turns out that it's another test for you. It's about how we can always try to escape from your problems or a situation but the reality is that you can always do your best to enjoy life and find happiness in the journey.”
Just as business and wall street are always churning, so is Searl. As Founder of his own record label, Lit Honey Productions, he regularly releases and produces music for a variety of artists across the U.S. With this single under his solo project, he encourages us to use our time to find a sense of inner peace and belonging. Being surrounded by nature and connecting with more primordial roots of human existence like playing around fire hiking cooking food outside being surrounded by farmland can be rejuvenating for the soul.
