DIYÂ: "Hold On"
DIYÂ is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter based out of Dubai.
Music has been in her blood from day 1.
At the age of 4 years old she started piano & vocal lessons at the Stefan Turchak music school. By 5 years old she was already performing and had won multiple singing competitions by the age of 7 including becoming Mini Miss of Kiev.
In 2012 she joined the prestigious Kyiv Academy of Circus And Variety Arts where she stayed for 5yrs and achieved a First Degree in singing and later on as Director of Theatre.
With her degrees in tow she took herself off to China doing vocal show performances before returning to Kiev to play with her band most weekends.
In 2017 she was offered the opportunity to work at a music venue in Dubai, UAE. She has just launched her own music career as an independent artist. She writes all her own material.
On DIYÂ’s new single “Lost” she explained “the song is about feelings one has after a breakup. Its name expresses the main condition people often find themselves in after their relationships end. They feel lost and confused, not knowing what to do next. Everyone knows this feeling, so it’s easy to live the lyric and the emotion it tells about.”
Every song of DIYÂ is a certain moment of her own life, so “Hold On” is based on the singer’s experience as well.
