Elephant Talk: "It's Not Really Over"
Premiered by BBC Introducing Beds, Herts & Bucks, Courtney Askew-Conti aka Elephant Talk released the dreamy new single ‘It’s Not Really Over’ on 27th March. Inspired by watching tons of Blue Planet and the music of The Avalanches & Beach Fossils, ‘It’s Not Really Over’ is an ode to self doubt and perseverance - written during the peak of the lockdown. Elephant Talk is the musical melting pot for Courtney A-C. Born in the sleepy town of Leighton Buzzard, Courtney is a multi-instrumentalist, producer & songwriter fusing electronica, indie & dreamy house in a truly DIY approach, injecting hedonism with reflection in every track. Raised on a diet of colourful 80's new wave & synth pop by a stained-glass artist mother and a musician father; Elephant Talk’s first release came in 2017 with the sparkly debut ‘Recently’; picked up by BBC Introducing & featured on Shred!2 and Weav along the way. ‘It’s Not Really Over’ is the first in a string of releases for 2020.
