Erik Strauss + Ryal: "What it's Worth"
Erik Strauss is a DJ/Producer from Venice, Italy.
Growing with jazz and funk music, later digging in deep house and underground in clubbing culture, he keeps on searching and exploring new horizons in production and dj-ing. In 2018 he signed with the French label Nuit Blanche.
His new single “What it’s worth” featuring RYAL is heavily influenced by trip-hop and alternative sounds of '90s (Garbage, Radiohead, Portishead), as the whole forthcoming album, is touching on the takeover of manufacturing facilities in Italy. A lot of concrete buildings have been abandoned and nature wants its space back trying to wrap and break them. This is what Erik sees while riding his bicycle in the Venice hinterland and what inspired him for making a whole new concept album, of which "What it's worth" is the first single.
