RYAL: "Closure"
Electronic, Alternative Synth duo RYAL is the collaboration between singer, keyboardist Jacque Ryal and producer Aaron Nevezie. Influenced by works by Bonobo, Little Dragon, Thome York, Sbtrkt, Tame Impala and Damon Albarn, RYAL efforts in music embedded with stories and soundscapes. B-Sides and Badlands calls the duo "defiantly raw".
As the summer comes to a close, RYAL is rolling out a collection of songs written and recorded during this time of Coronavirus. The first track is coming out today titled “Closure”. Spun out of a series of slow jams, the tracks grew as Jacque wrote lyrics responding to the disruption and uncertainty of the unexpected world around us. Taking the time of enforced isolation as a creative challenge Aaron explored creating downtempo minimalist beats that explode Into cathartic chorus. Heavy basslines that would shake the subwoofers in the club anchor Jacque’s crystalline vocals with analog synth melodies and arpeggios bubbling around the edges.
"Closure" is just the beginning to a rip-roaring record that gets up close and personal to many facets that will forever be remembered in 2020.
