Koosha Azim: Koryŏ Capsule

Koosha Azim - Koryŏ Capsule; psychedelia has a brand-new futuristic hip hop flavour

While living in Seoul, South Korea, the psychedelic hip hop artist, Koosha Azim, recorded his debut cosmonautical EP, Koryŏ Capsule.

The two-track release captures the energy of the destination and exhibits Azim’s newfound experimentalism, which manifests through the convergence of contrasting kaleidoscopic textures and futuristic trap star swagger. The production definitively won’t leave you searching for distinction in the wavey, bassy grooves that prop up Azim’s playfully luxe vocal canter.

The EP, which dropped on July 8th, is part of the Californian artist's mission to translate unique experiences into world-building progressive music.

Koosha Azim said: “Capturing the excitement of moving to Seoul, South Korea, Fly to the South celebrates experiencing the high life of a new region. Akin to the distortion of the mind on a psychedelic journey, the production is arranged with banging 808s, a spiritual flute sample, and a mysterious synth ambience. It is a hip-hop anthem for the restless youth.

Jeju was inspired by a trip to Jeju Island. The island was a peaceful place that inspired the futuristic world I created on the track. The song discusses falling in love in Korea and feeling like a Rockstar while travelling across the globe.”
