Lisa Lurati's hybrid vision
Lisa Lurati has hybrid vision - the kind of talent you might find ascribed to a Pokemon figure. That’s what’s makes her’s a name to watch for. The Swiss artist works with hybrid image material - found or produced - which she constantly mixes, reworks and transforms to create new images in multiple versions, which she then assembles into series. The resulting surrealistic montage is her signature style often blending classical iconography with modern and natural scenery.
Born in 1989, Lisa Lurati studied photography from 2011 to 2015 at the Higher Technical College in Vevey. Since completing her formal training, she’s been an itinerant artist criss-crossing between Berlin, Basel, Lugano, and South America. Several of her works have been shown in group exhibitions and publications in Switzerland, France, and Germany, and currently at Galerie LaFilature, Mulhouse.
