Nemo Cee: "Sunday Afternoon"

Nemo Cee: "Sunday Afternoon"

From Tijuana border-child turned Oakland activist, mover, and multi-instrumentalist, Nemo Cee, comes a fusion sound that evokes warmth and retro feels. At first sound, one gets organic Latin psychedelia, brazilian rhythms, ethereal synths & 70's soul and funk grooves wrapped around lyrics about self-love, social justice, and collective positive transformation.

Growing up in the border region of Baja California, fully immersed in the duality of a Mexican upbringing permeated with American pop culture weaved with a life long practice of the Brazilian martial art for liberation, Capoeira, Nemo has crafted a sound that borrows from Rock en Espanol, Jazz Fusion, Samba, and Soul.

"I wrote Sunday Afternoon for a friend who was not leaving the house during pandemic, at all, so much so that I got worried, called him up a few times, and still nothing. The song is me inviting him to come out and play capoeira with me at the park where we used to always hang during the summer times", comments the artist.

Formerly going by Jaz Clemente, now Nemo Cee, is releasing his first EP of the year, "a little late, but, I've been learning so much and improving my production and mixing skills and I'm very happy with how this song turned out", says Nemo, currently in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The song is a wacky mix of Indie-Classic-New-Rock, Psychedelia, and Cumbia and was the last song to be finished for this new release. The artist is currently residing in Oaxaca and driving around the state for the summer, making new music for upcoming releases "B", "C", and ā€œDā€ for September, October and November.
