Olivia King: "Old Soul"
Olivia King is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and entrepreneur from Warwick, Rhode Island. Her sound is defined as a cross between Pop and Soul. Inspired by the unique sounds of Lauryn Hill, Musiq Soulchild, and Michael Jackson; Olivia combines old-school soul music with a modern twist. In January 2017, Olivia decided to go independent and since then has been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, R&B Slow Jams, Discover Weekly & Release Radar and graced the cover of Tidal’s “Pop Rising” Playlist. Her latest release was featured on Triller’s Trendy Playlist for use in short form videos. Olivia's music has been placed in major campaigns such as the "Be Your Biggest Fan" Campaign for Caleb McLaughlin from the Emmy Award Winning Netflix Series, "Stranger Things."
We had the pleasure of checking in with Olivia on the occasion of the release of her new single “Old Soul” and she was kind enough to respond to a few interview questions.

What do you believe needs a makeover in the music world?
I would say the way major label deals are designed. Unfortunately, a lot of artists seem to be taken advantage of with deals.
Is there a producer you're dying to work with?
Pharrell!
Instagram or Tik Tok?
Before Reels, I would have said TikTok but now I'm back on the Instagram train!
Favorite cuisine?
Lobster 100%
If your life was a song, what would be the title?
Grind Mode. I'm definitely a workaholic lol.
If you could duet with any artist, living or not, who would it be and why?
I'd have to say Lauryn Hill.
