Spiritbox: "We Skinned a Ghost (For Pleasure)"
SPIRITBOX is a sinister indie rock band from Breda, The Netherlands, formed in 2017. The 5-man group ties together varying musical influences & personalities into a cohesive bleak and brooding indie rock sound. Their debut album 'Milk' offers 10 self penned harrowing songs with cinematic atmospheres. Ghosts, cannibals, Western outlaws, femmes fatales and flying squids are inhabiting SPIRITBOX' lyrical imagery, embedded in haunting melodies and darkness. Within a year after formation, SPIRITBOX was selected for Breda's Most Wanted, a Dutch regional platform program to support promising bands. The band played at the festivals Breda Barst and Freeze Festival Leeuwarden. Last summer, SPIRITBOX was commissioned by the Cultural Heritage Platform of the province of Noord-Brabant to compose and record a song inspired by the region's cultural history. This track, along with a self produced music video, will be released and broadcasted in December 2019. In the lead up to the release of their debut album 'Milk' the band has been releasing several singles on all digital platforms. Two new songs were released this Halloween, Oct 31 2019. 'We Skinned a Ghost (For Pleasure)', including a brand new music video, and 'Haunted Man'.
