Carlos Ucedda, the avant-pop visionary from Granada, returns with the second chapter in his conceptual two-part project, Black Rose – Your Chastity (Part Two) — a bold, philosophical dive into the shadows of emotional obsession, guilt, and isolation. Released on April 14, 2025, this track serves as a direct counterpart and emotional inverse to Inflatable e-Doll (Part One). Together, they form a dilogy—a mirrored pair of musical narratives representing the yin and yang of human disconnection.
With Part Two, Ucedda delivers a haunting, introspective soundscape rooted in minimal techno and dark pop, laced with theatrical elements and his signature avant-garde flair. Inspired by German house and techno, and touched with a "halo of Lady Gaga," the track pulses with a rhythmic, plucked synth line, industrial textures, and ambient ad libs. His contratenor vocals float above the mix with an eerie, otherworldly grace—emotive, raw, and unmistakably personal.
Thematically, Black Rose – Your Chastity explores the unraveling of a relationship fractured by infidelity, guilt, and emotional detachment. The black rose serves as a potent symbol—once beautiful, now discarded in the name of chastity. The track paints a chilling portrait of a love turned prison, where fear of loneliness and obsessive guilt erode intimacy. Ucedda taps into the disturbing reality of emotional manipulation, psychological spirals, and the isolating effects of unresolved trauma within a couple’s dynamic.
He explains:
“This work is about chastity — how guilt, emotional obsession, and fear of loneliness can transform a relationship into a kind of imprisonment. It’s the shadow side of love. Like a black rose discarded.”
Drawing on his background in Baroque and sacred music, Ucedda’s lyrical composition is layered with gravitas and introspection. The fusion of classical influences with cutting-edge electronic production results in a track that feels both timeless and deeply modern.
The accompanying music video—reminiscent of a Pedro Almodóvar fever dream—visually encapsulates the song’s emotional intensity.
