Bruno Karnel: "Nuit des Olmèques" - Live

BRUNO KARNEL's nomadic rock : sky striped by Turkish saz, peruvian charango or ukrainian domra. Following Insolence and its little brother 3 contes + 1, two projects that were mixing pop, heavy rock and more acoustic sounds, BK launches in 2017 the series of the "Satellites" : 4 EP representing 4 sides to the "nomadic rock". Charango-rock, foggy prog, heavy folk andino... world instruments overlap or replace guitars in these strange bubbles, well received by French and South American webzines, as well as British magazine "Prog". In his ultimate "Satellite", En ti sólo, Bruno pays tribute to César Vallejo : the adaptation of a text by the great Peruvian poet gives birth to an impressive video, financed by crowdfunding, and directed by Valentin Ponot. The video features mindblowing fire acrobatics, courtesy of Max B. Performer together with Acrobat Afo !

While promoting the Satellites, Bruno meets Frédéric Gerchambeau, a great modular synthesizer wizard. The album is called Amra ("Eternity", in Sanskrit). FGBK's tracks catapult bubble-gum melancholy, surrealist poetry, spirit of chaos a la Peter Hammill, spatial visions and tribute to Native American languages, such as quechua or nahuatl. Supported by the single Îles espace, the album is mastered by Louison Oranjor, who already worked on "En ti sólo". "Amra" was very well welcomed, and the track Cérès Bus Stop was broadcasted on several French and American radios.

Following these acoustic and electronic experiments, the album "Las Ilusiones" was meant to be coming back to the rock sound of "Insolence", but pangolins decided differently ! While waiting for better days, Bruno was seduced by "lockdown livestreams". As the response was quite positive, a new idea grew : re-record live in the studio the EP "Satellite 3 : Après-demain", in a new rock trio version, with Sonia singing the backing vocals, Julien playing the bass guitar, and big heavy/psych guitars coming back ! This new live album ""Evaporation des voix off" was recorded, mixed and mastered by Florent Morel at Marg'Sound Studio, and announced in September '20 by single Nuit des Olmèques. The album will be released in November, as well as the video of the whole concert, directed by François Richer.
