HEREFORTHEROSES: "Aint Over"
South African-born HEREFORTHEROSES has always loved magic. Whether that’s the adrenaline rush of skydiving or writing for hours in the confines of his studio in Amsterdam with his collaborators, the more time spent living in the moment, the better.
HEREFORTHEROSES released his urban pop debut EP ’No Approval’ in 2020. He has since been working on a new album and is bringing a more alternative sound with his new record. By getting in touch with his punk roots, he has been able to share a small insight into his complex and sometimes turbulent life.
The newest single, “Aint Over”, describes what it’s like to reach your breaking point. But instead of wallowing in self-pity, its message is about doubling down and fighting back harder than you thought you could. After being pushed to a breaking point with a previous music project and other aspects of life. Roses said fuck it! This ain’t over - and flew down to Berlin where he met two producers that shared his vision. At the time, a new project seemed impossible as he feared yet another disappointment. However, the feeling that his music career was not over kept him going. The new single will leave you feeling energised and make you feel like you can tackle anything.
