Martha's Laundry: "Empty Nation"
Martha’s Laundry, the synth-pop-new-wave band of Italian Switzerland has just released their new single "Empty Nation". The song was recorded in Lugano and mixed in London at "Red Mastering Studio". With a captivating groove, a very catchy and impactful refrain, the colors become darker and electronic, the text is more engaged.
Frontman (guitar & vocals) Marco Jeitziner explains: "Empy Nation" speaks of a country that can also be Switzerland where society is increasingly disintegrated, cities affected by symbolic violence, there are no expectations and people leave or fade like dreams. The refrain is provocative and speaks of fear, tears and flight. It is a denunciation of the present, but the hope for a brave and peaceful future. In a broad sense, the references concern the protests that have shaken various squares in the world in recent months".
