Nicey Nice World: Nonsectarian
Nicey Nice World, inception: fall of 2010. The original lineup consisted of: Jim Callon Theremin, organ and wood blocks; Joyce Rooks on Cello and voice and Marcelo Radulovich on Electronics, drum machines and voice.
At the core of the band was an appreciation of the moment as the ultimate composer. With a penchant for improvisation, the quirk and the value of it, the trio recorded rehearsals and began performing regularly.
Quickly and slowly half-structured songs took shape, which led to the band recording their first album in 2011.
Since then Nicey Nice World has continued to explore the blend of structure in improvisation, the poetry of when, the expression of it.
Various players have graced the sound through the years and helped to create a rich catalog of musical adventures, Nonsectarian is album #6.
