Sonograms: "Serendipity"
"Serendipity” is the new single of Sonograms, indie-rock duo born in the province of Treviso, Italy. Serendipity is the new single that anticipates the album "Automate", out in 2021: it is a love letter destined to music. “Serendipity" is nothing more than the way inspiration is shown to the artist, through short epiphanies and only when you stop looking for it. Even the moments of happiness are moments of serendipity: short flashes of light, able to make us find the strength to overcome days of total darkness. Searching hard for happiness puts us in front of a blank sheet of paper, a total emptiness and a conflict with ourselves; only when we stop looking for it and wanting it at all costs, we are able to recognize it when it passes by and fully appreciate it.
Who are the Sonograms? In 2017, after a long time, Alex and Andrea got together to tour Canada as session musicians for another project. In the back of the bus, between one stop and the next, a dozen songs took shape from a forgotten old guitar. Each song retraced a long path made of epiphanies, obstacles, and many trees, exactly as the landscape appeared through the foggy window. Just like the path that led them to meet, come home and decide to tell everyone their story. They’ll tell it as Sonograms would, through the traces left by the sound.
