Terry Blue returns, following the success of “Chronicles of a Decline” (Another Music Records, 2023), with the single “Fragile Friend”, already performed live for audiences during the extensive European tour that brought the duo to England, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and Italy over the past two years.
Leo Pusterla, lyricist and composer, changes direction after the acoustic simplicity and immediacy that characterized the previous work “Chronicles of a Decline”, experimenting in the Safe Port Production studios with Terry Blue’s new sonic direction, marked by synthesizers, electronic, electric, and electroacoustic elements, making it difficult to now categorize the duo within a single genre or musical style.
Always a focal point of Terry Blue’s production, the lyrical dimension of “Fragile Friend” intertwines with the structural complexity of the musical composition and arrangements by Eleonora Gioveni, offering listeners a dystopian yet lyrically essential postcard, dedicated to the relentless and unstoppable passage of time, the daily tragedies of modern adult life, as well as the loss of people, both near and far, that defines the early years of adulthood.
