Van Couver: "Marine"
Hailing from the sunny deep south of Switzerland, Van Couver is a band born in 2018 from the idea of two old friends (Luca and Aslan) who, living together,found themselves composing songs, almost as a joke, in their living room. The result was something unexpected that pushed them to expand the lineup by including Marco (Luca’s brother) to realise their musical idea.
The sound of Van Couver conveys a feeling of energy but at the same time of sweetness, insecurity, with the desire not to give up on everyday life.
Dragging vocals, dreamy guitars, hard driven bass and pounding drums. A unique combination of styles, fresh and overwhelming.
The clear British pop influence of the 90s, from Oasis to Ride, but with more contemporary indie rock sounds like Interpol, DIIV, Beach Fossils is easily recognizable in their music.
Raised with a DIY mentality and driven by a strong attitude, they are totally self-produced. After a long period of music writing and sound research, Van Couver have recently released their first two singles "RIDE" and "MARINE".
On the very close horizon, the band foresees the release of their first album with a great desire to travel miles on the road to present it live.
