Water Tower: "Anthem"

We had the pleasure of checking in with Los Angeles-based Kenny Feinstein, founder of the psychedelic bluegrass band Water Tower and he was kind enough to respond to a few interview questions:

SO GREAT TO HAVE YOU FOR OUR INTERVIEW TODAY. TELL US ABOUT YOUR LATEST SINGLE AND WHAT YOU'VE BEEN WORKING ON LATELY! 

So great to be here with you! The single we are excited about right now is called "Anthem" and we are so stoked about it because one of our fans animated us into a CARTOON for it!  We have never before been cartoons so that is very exciting for us.  It was also very flattering to have one of our fans feel so inspired by the song!  Here is a link to the song: https://cutt.ly/NgQO7fk

WHEN DID YOU KNOW THAT MUSIC WAS YOUR CALLING? 

I knew at age 17 when I witnessed a guitar fill up with golden rays and proceed to coat the entire room in a golden blanket of love. 

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN MOMENT?

Yes, I actually have had very many. There have been a couple that were more formative for me though. When I first moved to LA, I had nowhere to stay, so the night I pulled in after driving for 20 hours from Portland, I drove out to Wal-Mart and curled up around a trash can for warmth.  That was my first night in LA and from there things got a LOT worse.  But I had to dive down very deep into the depths in order to bring the riches back up to share with my friends and family : )  

ANY ENCOURAGING WORDS TO THOSE WHO LOOK UP TO YOU? 

Take it all very slow.  Take it one breath at a time.  Just focus on the moment we are in right now, and breathe deep in order to start the cycle of relaxation over.   Do not worry about tomorrow, do your best TODAY and tomorrow will be taken care of.  Today is all that we are promised, so let's live it up!

FIRST SONG YOU EVER WROTE? 

The first song I ever wrote was called "Spiders" and it is basically a rip off of Black Flag's song "Fix Me".
