Belum: Fleece
Belum Releases Final Single, ‘Dogwood,’ from Debut Album Fleece
by Jack Rush
Indie trip-hop duo Belum unveils ‘Dogwood,’ the final single from their highly anticipated debut album, Fleece. Following the success of their earlier releases, ‘Dogwood’ offers a bold and energetic glimpse into the album’s genre-blending vision.
Featuring distorted basslines, an eerie atmosphere, and noise-laden elements, ‘Dogwood’ stands out with its ’90s-inspired distorted guitar and pulsing electronic beat. The track channels raw energy and tension while remaining hauntingly evocative, a signature of Belum’s sound. Amalia Small’s mesmerizing vocals add an emotional intensity that completes the track’s layered composition.
As the last single before the album’s release, ‘Dogwood’ sets the stage for Fleece, a project that redefines trip-hop by merging nostalgic influences with modern experimentalism. Eshel and Oppenheimer, the duo behind Belum, draw on inspirations from Cocteau Twins and Portishead while creating a sound uniquely their own.
‘Dogwood’ is available now on all major streaming platforms. With Fleece on the horizon, Belum invites listeners to explore their evolving sonic world.
