Deadweight Loss: "Runaway"

Deadweight Loss: "Runaway"

Runaway is the first single released by the indie rock band, Deadweight Loss, comprised of Colin Onderdonk (vocals, bass, organ), John Onderdonk (electric guitar), and Brandon Whiteley (drums and acoustic guitar).

The song Runaway suggests it’s never too late to turn back. With anthemic melodies and an unapologetic nod to the power of guitar, Deadweight Loss returns to the roots of classic 70’s/80’s rock in their first track.

The band’s name references an economics concept. “Probably the only thing that rivals our geekiness over recording and music gear is economics, which we all studied or are studying in college,” John explained. “An economics professor joked that ‘deadweight loss’ would make a great band name… For better or worse, we agreed, and it’s stuck around.”

Runaway by Deadweight Loss is available now on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube and all major streaming platforms.
