Golden Vultures: Cry Wolf
Golden Vultures is a rock/blues/soul super group formed in the south of Switzerland in 2021 by entrepreneur, radio DJ and singer/songwriter Yari Copt with Yannick Rinvi (Those Furious Flames) on guitars, Andrea Zinzi (Make Plain) on guitars, Eveline Lucchini (Animor) on bass, Sebastian Rigo (Eleonor) on drums and backing vocals and Enea Adami on keyboards and backing vocals. The golden vulture, also known as the bearded vulture, is the most rare and majestic bird of prey of the Swiss alps. The Golden Vultures bring an Americana vision into the Swiss landscape and create a unique sound.
The Golden Vultures new single “Cry Wolf” is a slap of heavy blues and rock that tells, from the wolf’s perspective, the difficult coexistence with humans in the Swiss Alps and the demonization of one of the most mystical animals in our region.
In “Cry Wolf”, Golden Vultures offer a thought-provoking take on the relationship between humans and wolves. The song is presented from the perspective of a wolf and explores how humans tend to demonize these mystical animals, viewing them as threats to be eliminated rather than as integral parts of the natural world. The lyrics touch on the ongoing debate surrounding the coexistence of humans and wolves in the Swiss Alps, questioning why a smarter solution to preserve these magnificent creatures while respecting nature and protecting farmers and their animals cannot be found. “Cry Wolf” is not just a song, it is a call to action to protect and preserve the natural world and all of its inhabitants.
