Houstones: A + C

Houstones: A + C

The Houstones are an alternative rock band formed in 2012 in Locarno (CH), consisting of Saul Savarino (vocals, guitar), Joel Pfister (drums), Maurizio Cuomo (bass) and Serena Maggini (keyboards and vocals). Since the band's inception, three albums have been released as of 2016. The Houstones' new work, entitled "A + C," was released on June 14, 2024: the album represents the culmination of three years of work and artistic development.

With their new record "A + C," released by Soppressa Records, Entes Anomicos Records (Frankfurt) and Dotto Records (Turin), this third album marks a milestone in the band's career.

Produced by the talented Marco Fasolo, known for his work with artists such as Verdena, I Hate My Village, Bud Spencer Blues Explosion and Animaux Formidable, "A + C" was recorded between the Losone Factory in Ticino and the Big Tree Studio in Brescia, with also the collaboration of Alessio Lonati. The record represents the culmination of three years of intense work and artistic development, bringing to fruition the journey that began with the first four singles released in recent months.

The concept of "A + C" arises from the imagery of two sisters, symbolically represented by the two protagonists, A and C, who reflect two sides of the same aesthetic experience. This dualism is told through a quadriptych of video clips made by director Ambra Guidotti, whose lo-fi style gave shape and inspiration to the record's aesthetic.
