Love Ghost: "を向いて歩こう"

Los Angeles based alternative rock band Love Ghost released a love letter to Japan on July 24th — a cover of a classic 1961 Japanese pop song を向いて歩こう (Ue o Muite Arukō). They toured Japan for three weeks back in 2019, had an amazing time, and wanted to send them a message.

Straight from their Soundcloud page, Love Ghost had this to say:

‘ Hello Japan. We are Love Ghost- a band from Los Angeles, California. We Hope everyone is safe during this time of COVID 19. We love your country and can’t wait to come play live music shows for all of you. In the meantime- we wanted to play a Japanese song we love for you. Thank you. ‘

The original song is a straight-up ballad along the lines of Bing Crosby. Love Ghost puts a punk rock twist on this Japanese Standard.
