Muirs Dawn: Forever
Muirs Dawn, the musical project of multi-instrumentalist Johnny Reading, goes on a journey rooted in diverse influences with his new album, Forever. From his early days with the Dumbwaiters to contributing to New York City's vibrant IDM scene, Muirs Dawn has perpetually been in the mix via various projects, vinyl releases and live performances. His 2021 Fourist EP explored a long range of sonic spectrums from 50s Musique Concrète to 2000s Indie, setting the stage for his current full-length offering, Forever, in 2024.
Muirs Dawn's career began in avant-garde filmmaking and music theory. His gearcentric Instagram, @vintagemodernaudio, showcases vintage treasures, showcasing his love for 50s-60s design and French New Wave cinema. Forever is a reflection of that personality—delving deep into personal experiences and featuring predominantly self-created sounds and samples.
